BROADCAST METEOROLOGIST, CBM / Correspondent

As an American Meteorological Society certified broadcast meteorologist and correspondent, Cheryl teams up with networks to produce TV reports on weather, climate change, the environment, space, and other hot topics in STEM. Cheryl is currently a freelance broadcast meteorologist for Fox 5 (WNYW-TV) New York City.  

 

Cheryl holds a Bachelor of Science Degree with emphasis in Communications from Penn State University.  With two decades of experience, Cheryl covers many types of weather events and natural disasters including: hurricanes/tropical storms, flooding, tornadoes, severe thunderstorms, winter storms, earthquakes, wildfires and heat waves.

Cheryl also focuses on the travel impacts of weather; and weather and health, discussing topics such as seasonal allergies, air quality and ecology.

Cheryl is also a NOAA Weather Ready Nation Ambassador and active member of both the AMS & NWA.
